Microsoft Apps Officially Available for Free for Nokia Symbian

Now Microsoft has officially announced a formal application they belong such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint have been officially available free for Nokia Symbian phones. However, this application specifically for mobile phones with the Symbian Belle Operating System such as Nokia 600, Nokia 700 and Nokia 701. Microsoft and Nokia has indeed been officially announced about the partnership and their cooperation a few months ago.

Microsoft will bring the application into two stages. The first phase of the Microsoft Lync 2010 Mobile, Microsoft OneNote, Microsoft PowerPoint Broadcast, and the Connection Document Microsoft. This stage will be officially available in the fourth quarter of 2011. 

Meanwhile, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel will follow the second phase which will come in 2012. So with this officially for the first time Microsoft provided the software beyond the Windows platform. 

Some of Microsoft's future applications will be available for Symbian OS Belle namely:

Phase 1:

1. Microsoft® Lync™ 2010 Mobile – for cost efficient IM, presence, audio and web meetings on-the-go.
2. Microsoft® PowerPoint® Broadcast – quick broadcast of presentations directly from PC to mobile.
3. Microsoft® OneNote™ – rich note taking with images. Syncs with Microsoft® SkyDrive®.
4. Microsoft® Document Connection – single view to documents stored on mobile, including email attachments as well as documents on Microsoft® SharePoint® 2010 sites.

Phase 2:

1. Microsoft OneNote sync with SharePoint (additional for SkyDrive) plus Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as native applications
